Who is Ridha Belhaj, the close leader of the terrorist renaissance in Tunisia?
The Tunisian authorities have referred several leaders of the National Salvation Front in Tunisia belonging to the terrorist Ennahdha movement, the Brotherhood’s arm in Tunisia, to investigations on their involvement in many terrorist crimes.
Who is Ridha Belhaj ?
Reda Belhadj, born February 16, 1962 in Tunis, is a Tunisian lawyer and politician. Secretary-General of the Government, then Minister Chartered to the Head of Government in the Government of Beji Caid Essebsi, became Director of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tunisia until 1 February 2016.
Ridha Belhaj is one of the opponents of the constitutional amendments and elections that took place in the country, where the leader of the National Salvation Party said that the extension of the extraordinary measures by the President of the Republic is an enactment of what he called a coup and a complete departure from the constitution, claiming that Tunisia is living in a legal vacuum that has not happened before.
No supporters or fans before 2011. No one knew the man’s name, they did not exceed the fingers on his hand, and those who knew his biography were fewer than the fingers on one hand.
In his youth, he was the fourth brother, living under the shadow of his brothers and getting to know them. This is what he continued with in his adolescence, which ended with him going out, his wife, who had accompanied him since that date and saw what Ridha Belhaj did not see in himself.

He was locked up in the prison of his older brothers, whose radiation overwhelmed the younger brother and marginalized him in the house, neighborhood, institute, and political arena, with which he did not learn how to cope and he remained on the margins for long.
He has been on the sidelines for too long, and attempts to break his isolation have not helped him to become insignificant to the far and near.
The lawyer tried to test his luck in the activism, joining the transparency organization and the crucifixion of the lawyers’ profession. He was one of the fiercest opponents of Bechir Essid, the dean of Tunisian lawyers for the 2001-2004 and 2007-2010 sessions.
He was granted the position of minister advisor to the prime minister, and became private, and he held an unofficial position in the first government of Ghannouchi, but the winds that uprooted that government pushed Belhaj to the top, and since February 10, 2011, he became the secretary general of the first ministry, 24 days after the formation of the second government of Ghannouchi.
Salvation Front Investigation
The Free Constitutional Front of Tunisia led by Abir Moussi has filed fragmentary complaints against several leaders of the National Salvation Front for their involvement in terrorist crimes, so they were referred to the Prophet and interrogated.
Ridha Belhaj, a leader in the Salvation Front, said that the head of the lawyers branch informed him that he had been referred for investigation, without revealing the case under which he was referred.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Monday, January 2, 2023, Belhaj said he and Ahmed Néjib Chebbi, a leader of the Salvation Front, had been referred for investigation.
