With sanctions.. Japan combats Israeli settlers’ violence
In response to the escalation of violence in the West Bank amid the Israeli war on Gaza, many countries have started imposing sanctions on settlers, with Japan being the latest.
Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported on Tuesday that “Japan is making arrangements to impose its first sanctions to freeze the assets of Israeli settlers due to violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.” The broadcaster did not specify the number of settlers facing sanctions.
The United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada have imposed sanctions on some Israeli settlers in response to the escalation of violence in the West Bank.
