Yemeni war on the sovereignty of the Capital Aden: What is the role of the Muslim Brotherhood?

An article published by the Yemeni site “Al-Mashhad Al-Arabi” reveals that the terrorism directed against the south is carried out by Al-Qaeda in coordination with the Houthi militias, under the protection of the terrorist organization of the Muslim Brotherhood, aiming to put the south under pressure.

The article considers that the timing of the escalation of terrorism against the south is linked to previous attempts, following recent measures taken, specifically the decisions of the Central Bank which have strengthened Aden’s presence on both political and economic levels.

The military pressure on the south aims to undermine its political power, to pass attempts raised in the past period to obstruct the decisions that were made, specifically related to dismantling the funding networks of the Houthi militias.

The pressure on the south manifested in a UN attempt to negotiate the decisions issued by the Central Bank, a path that some parties have tried to pass, in one way or another, through a path that diminishes the sovereignty of the south and its eternal capital, Aden.

This synchronization clearly means that the war waged by terrorist forces against the south is a war on national sovereignty and aims to make the south subordinate to the forces of occupation, according to the article.

The southern response has been clear from the beginning, as expressed by the Transitional Council by constantly reaffirming that the sovereignty of the south and the presence of the capital Aden cannot be compromised, which means that it will not be acceptable to proceed with measures that would hinder the south’s ability to protect its security and stability.

The Houthis and the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood have brought to light the ongoing communication process between them for months, which multiple sources have talked about as being part of preparations to move from a state of confrontation to a détente, perhaps even reconciliation and cooperation between the two parties in the post-Yemeni war phase, which regional and international parties are trying to end peacefully.
