750 Tons: Massive Iranian Arms Shipment Bound for Houthis Intercepted

Once again, Yemen’s National Resistance Forces have acted as a barrier against deadly arms shipments headed for the Houthis from beyond the borders.

On Wednesday, Tareq Saleh, Vice President of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and Commander of the National Resistance, announced on X that a massive Iranian arms shipment had been intercepted en route to Houthi militias.

According to Saleh, the shipment was seized by the National Resistance’s naval forces, following intelligence tracking and surveillance. The cargo reportedly contained 750 tons of weapons, including:

  • Naval and aerial missile systems
  • Air defense systems
  • Modern radar units
  • Armed drones
  • Eavesdropping equipment
  • Anti-tank missiles
  • B-10 artillery
  • Targeting lenses
  • Sniper rifles and ammunition
  • Various military equipment

Saleh released a short video clip showing snapshots of the seized items and confirmed that the military media would soon release full details of the operation.

He emphasized that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to prevent arms smuggling to the Houthis, who continue to undermine Yemen’s republican institutions and suppress the will of its people.

Not the First Time

This is not the first time weapons destined for the Houthis have been intercepted. Just five days ago, the National Resistance Forces announced the seizure of a medium-sized smuggled arms shipment in the Red Sea.
