Gargash: we are not open to establishing axis against Iran

UAE President Anwar Gargash’s diplomatic advisor said on Friday that the UAE “will not be part of an axis against Iran”, stressing that “the country is open to anything that protects it, without targeting a third country”.

Gargash added that Abu Dhabi “will support any agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States, if it is concluded during US President Joe Biden’s visit to the kingdom”.

The American president is on his first tour of the Middle East since taking office in January 2021. He started his tour in Israel, and Saudi Arabia will be his second stop.
