Amber Heard fires Elaine Bredehoft and gets new lawyers for appeal
Amber Heard was convicted of defamation because she presented herself as a victim of domestic violence and a jury preferred the clan’s version of Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard chose to appeal her verdict which concluded a surreal trial pitting her against Johnny Depp, but for the next chapter of this story she decided to hire two new high profile lawyers, namely David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown.
The action plan is drawn up for the continuation of the things: to assert the right to the freedom of expression, which is guaranteed by the American Constitution.
The 36-year-old actress has therefore still not given up, deciding to thank Elaine Bredehoft who was his lawyer during the six-week trial hearing.
Heard and his new team will therefore move forward with a new strategy in order to avoid paying a final sum currently estimated at more than $10M (US).
The Heard clan seems really confident to turn the situation in favor of the actress.
“We are confident that the law will be applied correctly regardless of the popularity (of one of the parties), that it will overturn the judgment against Mrs. Heard and that it will reaffirm the fundamental principles of the freedom of expression”, announces the new representatives of the star, reports in particular The Toronto Sun.
