Weather: Hurricane Danielle’s power is always waning
Hurricane Danielle, which formed in the middle of the Atlantic on Friday, September 2, 2022, continues to lose power on Tuesday. It should not come too close to the European continent.
Danielle is going to die soon. This hurricane, formed 1,500 kilometers west of the Acores on Friday, September 2, will indeed gradually lose power over the next few days, announced Tuesday, September 6, 2022 the American National Hurricane Center (NHC).
The wind power it carries has already begun to decrease, notes the NHC, suggesting average winds at 130 km/h.
Danielle, a “harmless” hurricane
Danielle is expected to lose her hurricane status in the next few days and turn into an extratropical storm, thus coming very close to a classic depression.
This transformation will probably take place far from the European coasts, notes Étienne Kapikian, forecaster at Météo France, on Twitter, who speaks of an “aesthetic” but “harmless” hurricane.
According to the NHC, Danielle is expected to head back north in the middle of the week, before operating “a slow cyclonic turn” over the weekend. Its influence on the weather of the Old Continent will therefore be very limited, west-france.
