End of the month, WhatsApp will stop working on these phones
On Monday, October 31, WhatsApp’s instant messaging will stop working on 29 Android smartphones, when the app’s new update comes. Indeed, the Meta application will no longer work with phones running Android 4.0.1. In total, 29 devices from the brands Samsung, LG, HTC, Huawei or even Archos are concerned in Belgium.
Although these devices are still in circulation, the Android 4.0.1 mobile operating system dates from 2011 and the phones concerned have not been sold in stores for a while now. Smartphones have become obsolete.
Unfortunately for these users, they have to expect other apps to stop working as well, by the end of 2022. This is all because apps are constantly being updated by developers and to do this, they must leave aside the oldest versions of operating systems.
If you are the owner of one of these phones and you still want to use WhatsApp messaging, unfortunately you will have to think about changing your smartphone.
