Mohamed Bin Zayed directs to provide 3 million dollars for the reconstruction of the Palestinian town of “Huwara”
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed $3 million to support the reconstruction of the Palestinian town of Huwara and those affected by recent events.
The initiative will be implemented by the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi in co-operation with the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club. This is part of the humanitarian efforts made by the UAE to support the brotherly Palestinian people, according to WAM.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport held a meeting to discuss mechanisms for implementing the initiative and providing support in the presence of Mohammed Ali Al-Shurafa, the head of the department, and the Palestinian delegation. The meeting included Mo’een Damidi, the head of the municipality of Huwara, Jalal Awda, Mohamed Abd Al-Hamid, members of the municipality, and Ammar Al-Kurd, head of the UAE-Palestinian Friendship Club.
The meeting also discussed enhancing the prospects of joint cooperation in the field of municipal work between the two sides.
Al-Shurafa welcomed the Palestinian delegation, stressing the interest of the wise leadership of the UAE in supporting the Palestinian people and contributing to the redevelopment of the affected region in the Huwara.
He stressed that the UAE’s interest in supporting their brothers in Palestine stems from its firm positions in supporting the brothers and providing them with various forms of support.
