Megalodon… the “king of the seas” couldn’t swim

A new study reveals that the shark “Megalodon”, featured in the famous movie “The Meg”, was smaller than previously thought.

Researchers from the study stated that the “Megalodon” shark, which went extinct about 3.6 million years ago, measured between 15 and 20 meters.

This shark was considered to have a similar appearance to the current large shark, the great white shark. However, the study confirmed that its size was smaller than previously believed.

The study, published in the journal “Palaeontologia Electronica”, indicated that the shark had a similar appearance to the current “Mako” shark.

It was found that this shark had to hunt regularly due to its very long digestive system.

Researchers suggested that the “Megalodon” shark may not have been as skilled a swimmer as the great white shark.
