The Shepherd and the Flock: A New Hezbollah Weapon Raising Israeli Concerns

Israeli concerns over the southern Lebanese front continue to intensify, driven by a new strategy that Hezbollah is reportedly preparing as part of a new phase of confrontation.

So, what does this strategy involve?

The Israeli Alma Research Center revealed that Hezbollah is developing a strategy known as “the Shepherd and the Flock,” which would enable the group to launch several small drones simultaneously from different locations at sea or from the Lebanese coastline.

These drones would be controlled by a central unmanned aircraft acting as a communication relay, with the objective of disrupting the surveillance and defense systems surrounding offshore platforms and overwhelming them with multiple targets.

The Israeli center also warned that this threat could extend to southern Syria in general, and more specifically to the border area with Israel.
