T-shirt on Afghan fall from ”death plane” sparks communication
A shirt mocking Afghans who were shot down by a US military jet after a failed attempt to escape the Taliban movement has caused widespread anger on social media platforms.
A few days ago, online shopping platforms began selling a shirt in different colors, emblazoned with the phrase “Kabul Parachute Jumping Club”, with a picture of an airliner from which two people were shot down, in an apparent mockery of Afghans who were caught in the wheels of a US evacuation plane at Kabul airport, according to US newspapers.
In the product description, the shopping sites wrote that the shirt, available in different sizes, is perfect for people who like to jump off a plane and skydive.
“He showed the plane flying in the sky and suddenly two people fall, the Kabul Parachute Club shirt became visible and spread on the Internet,” the paper said.
He added: “The shirt has a special meaning on the political side but ultimately depends on what the consumer feels.”
The seller accompanied the description with a 19-second video showing a man displaying the shirt in his different colors,

The shirt, however, did not produce the desired marketing effect and was met with a major storm of anger on social media platforms, going so far as to describe it as “disgusting”.
The New York Post quoted a Twitter user as saying: “As Afghans flee and cling to the planes in desperation, someone has decided to take advantage of their pain and misery with this disgusting shirt.”
He added: “The t-shirt is being sold in 6 locations right now,” he continues, “Humans can be pretty tough.”
Others considered the shirt “very disgusting” and another lamented “how we got there”, referring to people’s tendency to exploit others’ pain for profit.
At the same time, a shopping site removed the controversial shirt page after many visitors described it as “moral corruption and distortion.”
In the evacuations since Sunday, a number of young Afghans have been shot down from the air after clinging to the wheels of a US military evacuation plane on Monday to escape the Taliban, who have established full control over the country.
These Afghans were killed in very shocking circumstances documented by a short video that went viral on social media platforms, and caused a lot of shock.
