A 6.0-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Central Ethiopia

Seismic monitoring centers have reported that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck central Ethiopia in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) stated that the earthquake occurred near the Oromia region, Ethiopia’s largest and most populous area.

According to Reuters, approximately 500,000 people reside in the affected area, located 7 kilometers from the city of Metihara.
