A Houthi Hypersonic Missile Near Tel Aviv… Introducing the “Palestine 2”
Houthi strikes are turning land, sky, and sea into traps, reaching Israel with a hypersonic missile that penetrated defenses and caused injuries.
This Saturday, Houthi militias claimed responsibility for launching a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting central Israel.
This announcement came shortly after Tel Aviv confirmed its failure to intercept a missile near the city, which resulted in minor injuries to 16 people.
In a statement, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the militias had targeted “an Israeli enemy military site in the Jaffa area using a hypersonic ballistic missile of the Palestine 2 type.”
Earlier, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee stated on the X platform: “Following a missile launch from Yemen and the activation of sirens in central Israel, interception attempts were unsuccessful,” adding that “details are still under review.”
The Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, reported that 16 people sustained injuries.
Israeli media outlets stated that the missile landed in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv.
Two days ago, the Houthis had claimed responsibility for launching two hypersonic ballistic missiles at Israel after Tel Aviv announced an interception and carried out airstrikes on Houthi “military targets,” resulting in the death of nine civilians, according to the militia leader.
Since November 2023, the Houthis have been carrying out attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden from areas under their control in Yemen.
This marks the third time a Houthi missile has bypassed the Arrow (Hetz) system launched from Yemen.
