In a press statement reported, Al-Ta’ayshi stated that the Islamic Movement and the National Congress Party were responsible for igniting the war on April 15, 2023. He accused them of contributing to the destruction of the country and the displacement of its people.
He further explained that forming a government led by civilians will not lead to the division of Sudan, emphasizing that it is the policies adopted by the “Port Sudan Group” that pose a risk of division.

Al-Ta’ayshi clarified that the legitimacy of the proposed government would be based on ethical and political grounds aimed at ending the war and achieving peace.
He added that supporters of forming a government within the Taqaddum Coordination are not a minority, and no vote on the matter has been conducted yet. He stressed the importance of both parties to the conflict signing a ceasefire agreement to halt violations from both sides, returning to negotiations through the Jeddah platform, and establishing mechanisms to ensure its implementation.
