Algeria envoy leaves Morocco less than two hours after meeting Nasser Bourita
The Minister of Justice Keeper of the Seals in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abderrachid Tebbi, stayed in Morocco for one hour and 37 minutes as an envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to King Mohammed VI to hand him an official invitation to attend the Arab Summit to be held in Algeria on November 1 and 2.
According to information obtained by Assahifa website, the Algerian minister’s plane landed at the Rabat-Salé airport at 11 a.m. and 40 minutes, where Abderrachid Tebbi found a diplomatic car waiting for him. He took him directly to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is about a quarter of an hour away from the airport, to find the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, waiting for him, and they exchanged a cold greeting, before entering the official hall of the ministry.
According to the information obtained by Assahifa website, the Moroccan Foreign Minister exchanged firm features and cold words with the Algerian Minister of Justice, Abderrachid Tebbi, before standing in front of the lenses of official journalists to take pictures of the delivery of the official invitation letter from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to King Mohammed VI to attend the Arab summit, which will be held on November 1 and 2.
The meeting between Bourita and the Algerian minister, according to private data, lasted no more than 23 minutes, during which the Moroccan minister proposed to the Algerian official, through the tradition of hospitality, a short rest before his departure, which the Algerian minister kindly apologized for, and insisted on returning to the airport directly, according to the instructions received.
The same diplomatic vehicle transported the Algerian Minister of Justice, Abderrachid Tebbi, to the Rabat-Salé Airport, where the Algerian Presidency’s plane took off from the Moroccan capital’s airport at around 1:17 p.m., towards Algeria.
He was very discreet in his actions and insisted on leaving Morocco as soon as possible after the official invitation to the Arab summit was handed over.
The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement after this meeting, during which it confirmed that, upon instructions from King Mohammed VI, he received on September 27, 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, Abderrachid Tebbi, Minister of Justice and Seals Keeper of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on an envoy of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to King Mohammed VI.
On this occasion, the Algerian President’s envoy handed over the invitation letter addressed to King Mohammed VI to attend the Arab Summit to be held in Algiers on November 1 and 2, 2022, said a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad.
