In a social media post, the authorities stated: “Four dead and nine others transported to various hospitals due to injuries. The suspect was arrested alive,” according to Agence France-Presse.

Authorities announced that the suspect in the shooting at a high school near Atlanta, Georgia, is a 14-year-old student of the school, who was immediately arrested.

Chris Hussey, director of the state’s investigation bureau, said during a press conference that the boy quickly surrendered once the police intervened and that he would be charged with murder. He added that “the four victims are two students and two teachers.”
