Among Them Arabs… Mexico Rescues Hundreds of Kidnapped Migrants


Gilberto Loya Chávez, the Minister of State Security in the government of the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, announced the rescue of 1,245 migrants, including Arabs, as of the current month of August.

This was revealed during a press conference dedicated to presenting the results of a report on measures to eliminate crimes against migrants in Mexico.

The minister revealed that among the migrants were 6 Moroccans and 4 Sudanese, who were rescued last week. They reported being kidnapped and extorted by a criminal organization specializing in smuggling migrants to the United States.

In the Mexican state of “Baja California,” authorities announced the apprehension of 20 other migrants, including Moroccans, who were being held against their will in a house in the city of “Mexicali.”

The Mexican local official pointed out the increase in crimes against migrants, revealing the arrest of 87 individuals involved in acts of violence, human trafficking, and the kidnapping of foreign migrants.
