An Egyptian kills his father in defense of his mother
A state of shock prevailed in the city of Nabaruh in the Egyptian province of Dakhleya (Delta) after the news broke that a young man had killed his father in defense of his mother.
According to Egyptian media, a 50-year-old worker called “Abdel Nasser” arrived at the Central Hospital of Nabaruh in Dakhleya governorate with a right-wing stab wound, and soon died of his last breath after arriving at the hospital.
As the police moved into his home, his wife, a 44-year-old housewife, said that her husband had always beaten her. The young son, 23, tried to defend his mother from his father, but a verbal dispute ensued. A clash quickly developed, during which the son stabbed his father with a knife.
Egyptian police announced the arrest of the son, who confessed to the incident and instructed police on the location of the weapon used in the crime. He was referred to the prosecution for investigations.
