An end to the Muslim Brotherhood organization?
The conflict within the top of the Brotherhood’s organizational hierarchy has entered a new phase of the “data war” between the two fronts vying for money and power.
The conflict flared up between the London Front led by Ibrahim Munir, and the Istanbul Front led by Mahmoud Hussein, former secretary-general of the Brotherhood, following the Ankara’s announcement today of the formation of a “committee to carry out the work of the guide”, and the selection of Mustafa Talba as its representative for the position of guide for six months.
Observers claim that with the Istanbul Front establishing a “committee to do the work of the Guide”, the organization wrote the final chapter of its end; for the first time there will be two official organizations that have just been inaugurated, each holding a Shura spokesman and office, the first in London and the other in Istanbul
In a surprise statement that deepened the organization’s crisis, an official statement issued by the Istanbul Front, which is fighting with the London Front, said that the Shura Council of the terrorist group had met and decided to form an interim committee on behalf of the Committee acting as the Supreme Guide and to select Mustafa Talba as its representative.
Talba is a British businessman who has served as a liaison between the Brotherhood and the intelligence services of some countries. He is accused by some parties within the Brotherhood of having links to Western intelligence agencies and is also on Egypt’s terrorist lists.
A few hours after the announcement of the formation of a “committee to carry out the work of the guide”, the London Front confirmed that Ibrahim Munir was the acting leader and representative of the organization’s institutions.
