Analysts reveal UN contradiction towards Houthi and its terrorism in
One day after the other, the attacks by the Houthi militia increased greatly in many governorates, along with an increase in the victims of the bombs planted in farms, roads, and residential areas, from the west of Taiz to the governorate of Dhale’ and then to Sa’dah, Marib and Al-Jawf. The government forces recorded continuous attacks, while the army forces thwarted the Houthi militia’s attack in many Yemeni sites and areas.
UN action
A report by Roaya revealed that the international community is intensifying efforts to extend the truce, which entered into force last April and ended in October without renewal due to the rejection of the Houthi group, which has put forth impossible conditions, as stated by the American envoy to Yemen, Timothy Lender King, in previous statements.
Paradox of attitudes
Journalist and writer Yasser Al-Yafei was amazed at the contradictory positions taken by the UN and its relief agencies towards the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
“The UN is designating the Houthi militia as a coup and terrorist group and has issued international resolutions against it,” he said in a tweet.
“But at the same time, it supports printing its books that distort sectarianism, feed terrorism and incite murder and death,” he said, adding that it is “a real partnership in making terrorism with UN support, unfortunately, UN funding for Houthi curricula.”
International position
Abdul Hafeez Nahari, a Yemeni political analyst, said the international community is facing a real test in putting pressure on the “Houthi terrorist militia” and its supporters in the Iranian regime to seriously deal with efforts to establish peace, renew a humanitarian truce and enter into a comprehensive political process. He stressed that completing the restoration of the state and ending the Houthi coup is an irreversible goal in light of the continuing terrorist operations, violations and crimes in Yemen.
He added that the peace process in Yemen may be far-fetched at the present time, as the Houthi militia continues its crimes against the Yemeni people for the benefit and plans of Iran at the expense of the Yemeni people, pointing out that the Houthi threats are increasing dramatically. He noted that the United Nations is exerting pressure and is not using effective tools to coerce the Houthi militia, which has weakened its position in pressuring Houthi.
Enlargement plan
He pointed out that the Brotherhood of Yemen continue to provide their services free of charge to Houthi militias, as the southern armed forces continue to confront the Houthi terrorist escalation on various southern fronts, amid the distraction of the international community from the crimes of the Iran-backed militia, in a step that encourages them to commit more crimes.
