Arab Coalition demolished ballistic rocket launched by Houthis toward Saudi Arabia
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the Arab Coalition demolished, on Thursday, a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Saudi Arabia’s Jazan.
The Coalition stated in a statement carried by SPA that the terrorist Houthi militia continues its attempts to target civilians… we are taking operational measures to protect civilians in accordance with the international humanitarian law.
Indeed, the Arab Coalition declared overnight that its forces had interrupted two explosives-laden drones launched toward Khamis Mushait, which is a southwestern city home to the King Khalid Air Base.
Yemen’s Houthi movement frequently launches drones and missiles towards Saudi Arabia, while Riyadh states that it interrupts many of them. Some have before strike Abha International Airport that is about 120 kilometer (75 miles) from the border with Yemen.
According to AFP, the Houthis announced, in February, an attack on the Abha airport that caused a civilian plane to catch fire, while the militia declared that the airport was a military target.
