Badr Al-Din Abdel Hakim, Former General in the General Intelligence Service… Who is he?
Badr Al-Din Abdel Hakim is a Sudanese military figure affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and a former general in the General Intelligence Service. The General Intelligence Service is an agency established in 2004.
This was achieved by unifying the National Security Service, which was responsible for domestic security, and the Sudanese Intelligence Service, which was responsible for external security, into one agency under the management of a single director, operating under the name of the National Security and Intelligence Service.
On February 11th, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir issued a presidential decree appointing Lieutenant General Engineer Salah Abdullah Mohammed Saleh as the Director-General of the National Security and Intelligence Service.
