Bride, widow in minutes, guests face… tragic wedding story
Specifically, they’re standing together to take pictures of the wedding because of a blood clot.
In what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life, Johnny May Dennis’ wedding took a tragic turn when her husband, Torres Dennis, died while photographing the wedding, outside their home in Omaha, Nebraska, on Monday.
At 4:35 p.m., just an hour after the ceremony began, Torres’ heart stopped and he departed at the age of 48, in front of the couple’s children, family and friends “within seconds.”
Monica Miller, a friend of Johnny May, said this was “the happiest day of Torres’ life,” adding, “I could see the smile on his face and how happy he was,” according to local television station KTV.
The friend created a fundraising page on GoFundMe to help the bereaved widow pay for funeral and other expenses for tasks such as mowing the lawn and clearing the ice in front of the house, over the coming months.
