The British Public Prosecutor announced that a 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of three young girls and the attempted murder of 10 other people during a knife attack in England earlier this week.

In a statement, the prosecutor said that “the Crown Prosecution Service has authorized Merseyside Police to charge a 17-year-old male from Banks, Lancashire.”
The statement added that the boy faces “three counts of murder and ten other counts of attempted murder, following the tragic event that occurred in Southport this week.”
The tragedy occurred on Monday at a dance school during an activity for children aged six to eleven, centered around the works of American star Taylor Swift.
Witnesses of the tragedy described horrific scenes of children bleeding in the streets and shocked mothers searching for their children.
