Conflicts between the Istanbul and London fronts lead the Muslim Brotherhood to the downfall
With the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in Tunisia and Morocco, and before that in Egypt, the stage of collapse has also begun in Yemen, where the Brotherhood is living its worst days, especially with the unrest and internal divisions that are striking its ranks between the Istanbul and London fronts, until the mutual disputes between them reached accusations of treason and employment.
Escalation of the conflict
Internal disputes within the ranks of the Brotherhood escalated sharply over the position of guide and the election of the Shura Council of the Brotherhood. Some leaders suggested changing the position, as the past few days witnessed attempts by the Istanbul Front to control the leadership of the terrorist group, especially with the escalation of crises between Mahmoud Hussein, former Secretary-General of the Brotherhood, who is based in Istanbul, and Ibrahim Munir, the Vice-Guide and his chargé d’affaires, who is based in London. The General Shura Council issued a decision to remove Munir from his position, on the understanding that Mustafa Tolba, the official representative of the Committee acting as the Guide of the Brotherhood – the Istanbul Front – would act on a temporary basis.
End
Dr. Ibrahim Rabie, a leading Brotherhood defector, said: The terrorist group is going through a major crisis, which led to the collapse and internal disintegration of the group amidst mutual accusations between the two front lines of division within the terrorist organization. This exposed the terrorist group to international public opinion and exposed the reality of those conflicts, which are essentially a struggle for positions and access to suspicious foreign funds.
The Muslim Brotherhood leader added that the Brotherhood is in an unbalanced state and living a disappointing fate in light of the crises facing the group internally and externally. He added that the conflict between the two parties confirms that the Brotherhood has collapsed forever, and that it has no return to the scene.
Death certificate
Terrorist groups specialist Mounir Adeeb said: The current situation of the Muslim Brotherhood organization is the product of confrontational strategies, which have gone beyond a decade, but it fell down with the first test of its leadership from within, in the hope that the pursuit of its ideological and doctrinal goals would be completed, as was quickly discovered by the people. He added that the terrorist Brotherhood organization went through disputes and divisions that destroyed what remained of it, and these disputes occurred between the organization’s leaders fighting over its wings and its funds, confirming that the recent divisions provide a death certificate for the Brotherhood organization.
He added that the current disputes were a translation of confrontational policies since the formation of the organization’s High Administrative Committee, headed by Guidance Bureau member Mohammed Kamal, was announced in February 2014. The members of the Guidance Bureau quickly issued a decision to dissolve the committee in May 2015, and this step marked the beginning of the real clash within the organization. These disputes escalated over the past few days, reaching the point of mutual accusations between the two conflicting parties.
