Darkness in Tehran after night strikes… and bombardment of an ammunition depot in Isfahan

Explosions were heard in Tehran and electricity was cut in parts of the capital, according to Iranian media outlets.

The Fars news agency reported a power outage affecting areas of Tehran after several explosions were heard.

The Tasnim news agency also stated that residents in eastern and western Tehran experienced power cuts and that authorities were working to restore electricity, before confirming that a substation connected to a power plant had been damaged.

Shortly before that, the Israeli army had called on residents of a residential area in Tehran to seek shelter ahead of an attack targeting a “military infrastructure.”

U.S. President Donald Trump also posted videos on his social media platform Truth Social showing strikes on the Iranian city of Isfahan.

The newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States carried out a large-scale airstrike on a major ammunition depot in Isfahan, Iran.

The paper quoted a U.S. official as saying that the targeting of the ammunition depot in Isfahan took place as part of a “night attack.”

U.S. forces used 2,000-pound bunker-busting munitions in the attack on Isfahan, according to the same source.

More than 50,000 U.S. troops are involved in the “Epic Rage” operation in the Middle East, which began on February 28.

U.S. forces have conducted strikes targeting more than 10,000 sites inside Iran since the beginning of the war.
