Egyptian president receives UAE delegation led by Tahnoun ben Zayed Al Nahyane

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi is praising the strong fraternal relations between Egypt and the UAE and the progress they have achieved at various levels.

During his meeting with UAE National Security Advisor Sheikh Tahnoun ben Zayed Al Nahyane, Al-Sissi expressed Egypt’s aspiration to strengthen it to contribute to the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples and to explore additional prospects for cooperation in all fields, especially in sectors where the two countries enjoy preferential advantages, in order to consolidate the strategic relations between the two countries and what they represent as a foundation for the stability of the entire Arab region.

The Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson said that President al-Sissi received a high-level Emirati delegation at the Presidential Headquarters in El-Alamein Al Jadeeda, headed by the National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Tahnoun ben Zayed Al Nahyane.

The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Egypt and the UAE, especially in the economic and commercial sector, as well as efforts to promote joint UAE-Egyptian investments in Egypt in various sectors, the spokesman added.

Sheikh Tahnoun also praised the attractive investment climate in Egypt, which is witnessing comprehensive development under the leadership of President al-Sissi. This provides unprecedented opportunities for UAE and foreign investments, as UAE direct investments in Egypt exceeded $15 billion, with a contribution exceeding 13% of total global foreign investment at the end of 2020.

The Egypt Sovereign Fund and Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company launched a joint strategic investment platform in 2019 worth $20 billion. Abu Dhabi Development Holding funded investment projects worth $3 billion.

Mohamed al-Suwaidi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Holding Group, said that the Egyptian market is promising and there are projects in the Egyptian market that are attractive to investors.
