Egyptian security forces arrest suspects in Mall Girl crime
Egyptian security authorities have arrested two suspects in the murder of a girl in a famous shopping mall, the case known in the media as “The Mall Girl”.
The Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan said that the General Security Department, in co-ordination with Al-Buhayrah Investigation officers, reached out to the accused in the killing of Najla Niamatullah in a clinic in a famous shopping center.
According to the newspaper, the investigations revealed that the attack was committed by 3 suspects who killed the victim by suffocation and stabbing. The public prosecution was asked permission, and the accused were arrested, and they were referred to the prosecution for investigation.
Al-Watan said that the search team had screened some 12 suspects and had also examined surveillance cameras at the victim’s clinic.
The Panel found a 120-second video, which documented the moments of the victim’s killing and the escape of the accused murderers, the public prosecution was asked to assist, and the accused were arrested.
On Wednesday, a security source said that the victim was strangled and stabbed to the body at the clinic where she works in a famous shopping center in Al-Buhayrah province.
