Elon Musk accompanies Netanyahu on a visit to a settlement near Gaza

American billionaire and owner of the “X” platform, Elon Musk, visited a kibbutz (settlement) in southern Israel today, Monday, accompanied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where Hamas launched its attack on October 7th.

Netanyahu said to Musk, during a dialogue published on his “X” platform account (formerly Twitter) at the end of their visit to Kfar Aza: “We must disarm Gaza after destroying Hamas” and “eliminate extremism” in the Palestinian territories.

Netanyahu’s office released footage showing the two men walking among the ruins in the kibbutz.

Netanyahu added: “We must rebuild Gaza, and I hope to get help from our Arab friends in this matter,” adding that he hopes to resume normalization talks with Saudi Arabia and “expand the circle of peace beyond what can be imagined.”

Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi announced a preliminary agreement on the use of the “Starlink” satellite internet service owned by Elon Musk in Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu did not address anti-Semitism in any public statement on the “X” platform. The Israeli presidency announced that Musk would hold talks on Monday with Israeli President Isaac Herzog about “the need to combat the increasing anti-Semitism online,” and no information was released about the holding of this meeting.

It was scheduled for the meeting to be attended by “representatives of families of hostages held by Hamas.”

Elon Musk has faced criticism accusing him of spreading hate speech on the “X” platform since he acquired it in October 2022.
