Ten trucks loaded with Emirati aid for Gaza have arrived at Rafah Crossing
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) persists in providing humanitarian assistance to the residents of the Gaza Strip. The ten trucks delivered 1.6 million pieces of Emirati winter clothing and blankets to Rafah Crossing.
According to “The National” newspaper, the supplies will be distributed in stages to support Gaza residents who lack shelter, especially with temperatures dropping to around 8 degrees Celsius.
Be their warmth
The aid convoy, overseen by the UAE Red Crescent Authority, is part of the “Be Their Warmth” campaign in the country and Operation « The Gallant Knight 3 ». The UAE Red Crescent Authority also stated that a significant portion of the winter campaign’s proceeds would be allocated to assisting families and children in Gaza.
Donations of winter clothing, heating devices, medical parcels, food parcels, and firewood are also encouraged to support Gaza’s residents. The agency has representatives at approximately 175 locations throughout the UAE for donations.
Desalination of seawater
The UAE continues its humanitarian mission to support Gaza’s residents by increasing the capacity of water desalination stations on the Egyptian side of the Gaza border. The expanded stations provide Gaza residents with 4.5 million liters of drinking water daily, collected from the Mediterranean Sea, filtered, and sent across the border.
The UAE has delivered around 10,000 tons of aid through 121 trucks and 129 cargo planes. Additionally, a warehouse has been opened in Arish to store aid such as diapers, canned food, and electric heaters.
Emirati Red Crescent
An Emirati humanitarian aid convoy, dedicated to the residents of Gaza, has reached Rafah Crossing as part of the annual winter campaign “You Are the Warm Hands,” launched by the UAE Red Crescent Authority within Operation « The Gallant Knight 3 ».
The convoy, preparing to enter Gaza, consists of 10 trucks containing about 1.65 million pieces of winter clothing and blankets for heating, especially for those in camps lacking many life necessities. This campaign shows solidarity with Palestinian children and families affected by the ongoing war in Gaza, providing urgent aid to alleviate humanitarian conditions and alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable, especially children.
Support for Brothers
This rapid response to the difficult humanitarian situation in Gaza reflects the UAE’s historical and humanitarian commitment to supporting Palestinian brothers through a generous humanitarian journey. This mirrors the UAE’s fraternal positions and steadfast approach to supporting brothers in various circumstances.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority clarified that a significant portion of the annual campaign “You Are the Warm Hands” proceeds would be dedicated to helping many children and families during the harsh winter. The authority called on people of goodwill to participate in the campaign, specifying various donation categories, including the Gaza Winter Campaign (30 AED), Winter Clothing (200 AED), Winter Campaign (10 AED), Heating Device (300 AED), Heating Wood (300 AED), Health Parcel (150 AED), and Food Parcel (200 AED).
The authority has completed its arrangements to enhance campaign activities and receive charitable support, facilitating the donation process through its platforms and outlets, including the website, bank deposits, smartphone applications, text messages, toll-free phone numbers, cash donation boxes, and electronic devices. This includes deploying representatives to around 175 locations nationwide, especially in commercial centers, markets, and various institutions.
