Hand Tremors… A Simple Sign That May Hide Serious Diseases
Russian doctor, Alexander Myasnikov, pointed out that hand tremors can sometimes be a sign of serious diseases. During a television program, he stated that “hand tremors come in various forms, and healthy individuals may experience a natural physiological tremor in their limbs,” according to Russian media.
He added, “Tremors can occur in the hands, legs, head, and even the jaw, and they tend to increase after consuming tea or coffee, or during stress, fatigue, and muscle tension.”
Myasnikov emphasized the importance of distinguishing between normal physiological tremors and tremors that may be an early symptom of Parkinson’s disease, one of the main conditions causing tremors.
He also mentioned another condition known as “essential tremor,” which is among the most common neurological disorders, with about 50 to 70% of cases having a hereditary component, though its causes remain unknown.
Meanwhile, Russian doctor and neurology specialist Natalia Chendryaeva advises people who experience frequent limb tremors to be cautious, as this condition may result from emotional tension and fatigue, with tremors usually disappearing after relaxation.
However, she also warned that recurrent tremors might signal more serious disorders, such as thyroid dysfunction or abnormalities in parts of the brain, such as the cerebellum or the vestibular system.
Myasnikov recommends that people who suffer from frequent tremors consult specialists to assess their health condition and determine the underlying causes.
