Horrific Crime in Egypt… He Killed Her and Put Her in the Refrigerator Until She Decomposed
The Public Prosecution in Alexandria, north of Cairo, is investigating a gruesome crime where a young man killed a woman and placed her body in the refrigerator until it decomposed, as an act of revenge for her desire to end their relationship.
According to investigations, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department managed to apprehend the suspect involved in the crime. He confessed during the investigation to committing the incident, and the other suspects assisted him in concealing the crime.
Security forces also arrested other suspects who were involved in the incident. Investigations revealed that one of the suspects helped bring a plastic bag and placed the body in the refrigerator. They provided a fan to eliminate the smell and also handled the belongings of the victim.
Details of the Story
The story began when the emergency police received a report from locals about a foul odor emanating from inside a residential apartment on Al-Tariq Al-Mardouma Street in the jurisdiction of Ramel Police Station II in Alexandria.
Upon the arrival of security personnel, public prosecutors, and criminal evidence teams, and after taking the necessary legal procedures, the mentioned apartment was opened. It was empty of occupants, and it was discovered that the smell was coming from a food preservation refrigerator inside the apartment.
Upon opening the refrigerator, a plastic bag was found containing the body of a 30-year-old woman. Forensic examination revealed that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition and had stab wounds and incisions on the neck. The crime had occurred more than 10 days before.
Testimony from a Neighbor
Mohsen Khamees, the owner of a household supplies shop on Al-Tariq Al-Mardouma Street, mentioned that locals had been noticing a foul smell increasing day by day in the street for over a week.
He added that after searching for the source of the smell, they found it was coming from an apartment rented by a young man known in the area as Abu Al-Arabi. Despite knocking on the door repeatedly with no response, the police were informed. They arrived with the public prosecution and, after entering the apartment, the crime was discovered.
He explained that the victim used to visit the suspect frequently, and he claimed that she was a relative. However, some neighbors heard a major altercation between them before they disappeared. However, the neighbors did not pay much attention to the altercation as they used to quarrel frequently.
An anonymous security source revealed to Sky News Arabia that when the police entered the apartment, they found that the suspect had placed a fan and left it running in front of the refrigerator containing the body, to prevent the smell. He also left the television on and the lights illuminated to give the impression to neighbors that he was present in the apartment.
The source explained that the suspect was a drug addict and he confiscated the victim’s belongings and gave them to the other suspects who helped him place the body in the refrigerator. The police arrested all three suspects and they were referred to the prosecution, which ordered their detention pending the case.
