Iran launches a major attack on Al Jazeera… Details
Iranian newspapers loyal to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei have launched an attack on the Qatari channel Al Jazeera, accusing it of portraying the Iranian regime as abandoning its “allies” from armed groups in the region.
The newspaper “Kayhan” wrote in its latest issue yesterday: “Al Jazeera has tried to portray Iran as indifferent to the attacks on its allies, and that it only cares about protecting the Iranian interior,” according to Iran International.
It added: Al Jazeera in its reports shows that Iran, with this behavior, has given the United States the green light to attack these groups scattered in the region. The newspaper claimed that “the Islamic Republic does not abandon its allies in the axis of resistance, and will defend the dignity of Muslims in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.”
Several officials in Iran had made statements considered as an actual abandonment of resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, and targeting those groups by America and Israel is the biggest evidence that Iran cannot be relied upon.
Many Iranian officials, especially from the Stability of the Revolution Party. criticized Iran’s position, describing it as weak. for not providing strong support to Palestinian factions in the war with Israel through the Lebanese Hezbollah.
It is worth mentioning here that the Stability of the Revolution Party is one of the strictest political parties in Iran and is the main supporter of the Supreme Leader .and the current President Ibrahim Raisi‘s government.
Many Iranian conservatives criticized the regime’s position, considering that the slogan of the Quds Force, “The road to Jerusalem passes through Karbala.” should not be repeated after the regime’s abandonment of resistance. especially in Palestine, and its failure and lack of support for it.”
