Iran’s Proxies Move Into Action: Israel Intercepts Missile Launched from Yemen

The Israeli military announced on Monday that it had intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward the Israeli state.

The Houthi militias in Yemen, which joined the conflict in the Middle East in March in support of Iran, had previously carried out attacks against Israel.

In a statement published on its Telegram account, the Israeli military said that it had “detected a missile launched from Yemen toward Israeli territory and that air defense systems were operating to intercept the threat.”

Shortly afterward, the Israeli military announced that residents in the areas affected by the alerts could leave their shelters.

Emergency services reported that no injuries had been recorded.

The incident comes only hours after an Iranian missile attack on Israel, which was followed by an Israeli response targeting several objectives in different Iranian cities.
