Jamal Rayyan withdraws a tweet abusing Morocco after it backfired
After finding that it was counterproductive to what he expected, Al Jazeera journalist Jamal Rayyan, of Palestinian origin, was forced to delete one of his hostile and aggressive tweets against Morocco, which he published as part of his relentless campaign driven by the Kingdom’s notorious enemies.
- Qatari Al-Jazeera announcer attacks Morocco
- Al-Jazeera and Jamal Rayyan.. Exclusion and stop tweeting
On his Twitter account, Rayyan tweeted that he asked his followers to vote for or against the withdrawal of Morocco’s chairmanship of the Al-Quds Committee and its attribution to other countries, putting Algeria in the lead.
In order to avoid embarrassing those who finance his frenzied campaign against Morocco, the journalist was quick to delete his post when the majority of her followers voted “No” (61%) versus only 39% yes.
Twitter activists said that Morocco is the one who called for the establishment of the Al Quds committee and is the one who covers the majority of its budget. No one has prevented Jamal Rayyan and the Palestinian diaspora from setting up another institution in support of Jerusalem from financing them.
The activists accused Jamal Rayyan of receiving money from Algeria to attack Morocco.
Moroccan broadcaster Al Jazeera Abdessamad Nacir defended Morocco and Moroccans in response to Rayyan’s hostile tweets. He said: “It is shameful and ignorant to make reckless accusations against Morocco of involvement in shedding the blood of our people in occupied Palestine and empowering the Zionists with money and weapons”.
Nacir tweeted: “Go back to recent history to tell you about the blood of the martyrs of the Moroccan soldiers in the front lines against the Zionists in the Sinai and the Golan, and Moroccan commandos within the Palestinian resistance”.
