Jordan Targets Muslim Brotherhood’s Financial Arms: Investigations, Tracing, and Legal Action

Jordanian authorities announced on Wednesday a series of legal actions against associations and companies identified as financial fronts for the dissolved Muslim Brotherhood group.

This move comes two months after the Jordanian Ministry of Interior officially banned all activities of the Brotherhood, declaring it an illegal organization.

According to the official Jordan News Agency, the Companies Controller referred violations by the “Forum for Training and Empowerment of Women and Children” to the Public Prosecutor due to multiple infractions.

The company failed to submit its financial statements for 2024 and did not disclose its ultimate beneficial owner.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Social Development referred three associations to the Public Prosecutor: “Green Crescent Association,” “Al-‘Urwa al-Wuthqa,” and the “Helping Hands Initiative,” citing administrative violations and illegal fundraising activities.

The Ministry is also monitoring the activities of a business association led by individuals affiliated with the banned Brotherhood, including a former member of Parliament.

In addition, the Ministry has detected five individuals collecting donations illegally in a district of Amman, and legal action is being prepared against them.

Authorities continue to track the Brotherhood’s financial assets — including bank accounts, funds, and properties — in preparation for appropriate legal measures.
