Justice and Development Party faces a series of resignations
A total of 872 members of the ruling Justice and Development Party announced their resignations last week, including the head of the women’s branch in the region, Emile Oz Akmazlar.
Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that the reasons for the resignations were their rejection of the way President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s AKP is run, and their harassment.
On the other hand, according to information from local sources, there are reported to be serious disturbances within the Justice and Development Party in the entire city of Aydın, confirming that resignations will increase in the coming days.
Kemal Albirak, one of the founders of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party, harshly criticized the policies of his old party: “He dominated the state’s institutions and institutions, turning them into instruments of vengeance”.
During his participation in a TV program, Albirak stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party dominated the state apparatus and formed a parallel entity, stating that the AKP had committed the most disadvantages against Turkey ever.
Albirak said the AKP was angry at the former head of the Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party, Selahattin Demirtaş, for not supporting them in the municipal elections.
He said: “In the south-east of the country, Justice and Development will not be able to gain the votes that they have already achieved there, because they are creating a reality of vengeance, and we are seeing this everywhere. Despite the fact that the State is the guarantor of freedoms, they have dominated it, exploited all of its potential and turned its organs into a tool of revenge and a tool of plowing intrigue”, referring to the politicization of the judiciary and the domination of the various organs of the State.
Albirak explained that the AKP is using the judiciary as a stick, threatening whoever it wants. The poor citizen has been intrigued, they have formed a parallel entity in all fields and the judiciary has become subordinate to them. It was a shame. Turkey shouldn’t have turned this situation, but they turned it. This is not a state administration, and this is not a law. Never in the history of the country has a ruling authority committed so many abuses against the state.
