Kuwait : A Syrian killed his mother and a security man… And dies in the hospital with an injury

A Syrian expat killed his mother and a security guard while working in a horrible crime that shook Kuwait at dawn today (Monday), before he died of his injuries in hospital.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the operations room received two notifications; One reported an attack on his mother in Mubarak al-Kabeer Governorate. When security officers went to the location of the communication, a woman born to 1967 was seen dead after multiple stabbings in her home. Another indicated that a person ran over a traffic policeman while organizing traffic in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, before he was stabbed to death and fled.

She added : “A search team was immediately formed and investigated by the relevant security sectors, which monitored the perpetrator and identified him as a resident of an Arab nationality (aged 19 years), who was arrested in the area of al-Wafra.”

The ministry stated that  “The security agencies were able to arrest the perpetrator of the two crimes of killing the martyr of police duty Abdul Aziz Al-Rashidi from the salaries of the General Traffic Department while he was working in al-Ahmadi province and his mother in Mubarak al-Kabeer province, after an exchange of fire between him and security men, injuring him and taking him to the hospital, but he is dead”.
