Latest Crimes of the Muslim Brotherhood in Taiz

The Islah Party militia, “the arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen,” continues to commit crimes against citizens in the city of Taiz, which is under its control.

According to the Yemeni site Al-Qasima News, Dr. Sami Yahya Abdel Ilah Qusar, the director of the YOU company in Taiz province, was subjected to an attempted kidnapping and violent assault.

Local sources reported that Sami Yahya was attacked under the threat of a weapon by an armed group linked to the Brotherhood militias, using a vehicle without license plates, shortly before the attempted kidnapping in the al-Ba’arrah area.

In the same context, armed men affiliated with the “22nd Mika Brigade” of the Brotherhood stormed the home of a citizen in the al-Majaliya neighborhood in central Taiz. According to eyewitnesses quoted by the newspaper Al-Amnani Net, the assailants used a bulldozer to smash the gate of the house’s yard, amid protests from the residents who witnessed the incident.

A video circulating on social media shows a Brotherhood leader in civilian clothes ordering the bulldozer driver to begin the demolition, ignoring the demands of the citizen who confirmed that the yard belonged to him.

Those responsible for the demolition stated that this operation was carried out under the direct order of the commander of the “22nd Mika Brigade,” without showing any judicial orders issued by the public prosecutor, who has the sole authority to issue orders for forced entry into citizens’ properties.

The city of Taiz has been suffering from a state of security chaos for years, and attacks on citizens’ properties by armed men affiliated with Brotherhood military and security forces are increasing, with no deterrence or accountability from the responsible leadership.
