Led by Tawakkol Karman, Yemeni Brotherhood organize a conference in America to incite against their country
Members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen organized a conference in Washington, on Monday, in a new move by the organization to internationalize the crisis in the country suffering from numerous crises. The conference is organized by the Center for Studies at Georgetown University, the Muslim Brotherhood activist Tawakkol Karman, and the organization Democracy Now for the Arab World (DAWN), funded by countries in the Muslim Brotherhood’s orbit, and their supporters from regional powers.
The Brotherhood’s Plan
The conference hosted Brothers of Yemen politicians drawn together by the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, such as parliamentarian Abdul Aziz Jabbari, former Minister of Transport Saleh Algubwani, former Governor of Socotra Ramzi Mahrous, and Shura Council member Issam Shura. Tawakkol Karman, a Muslim Brotherhood activist who throughout the years of war in Yemen adopted a policy against the Arab coalition and Yemeni legitimacy, participated through her activities through her organization, known by her name, or her media activities through the Balqees satellite channel, which is affiliated with the organization.
Abuse of alliance
Wadah Bin Attiya, a Yemeni political analyst in the south, said the main objective of the Brotherhood conference is to insult the Arab coalition, support the Houthi militia and carry out terrorist acts that hit the southern provinces under the guise of peace. He said Brotherhood leader Tawakkol Karman adopted the conference and also has support from Brotherhood leaders in the region.
He added that this new conference reflects the Brotherhood’s desire to circumvent the Presidential Council in Yemen, which is now threatening their influence, revealing their intentions to rebel, which is being pushed by regional powers allied with Iran.
The Continuation of War
Dr. Mukhtar Ghobashi, a political analyst, says,
The conference aims to continue the war and give the Houthi rebels absolute power, and to alleviate the burden of international pressure on them. It is like marketing suspicions and shuffling cards, blaming the coalition and legitimacy for the humanitarian consequences, and reviving the anti-coalition political discourse in Yemen. It seeks to shuffle the cards and blaming the coalition and legitimacy for the humanitarian consequences.
The Brotherhood is continuously working to implement its agenda in co-operation with al-Houthi elements through constant political co-ordination by spreading allegations and lies through these conferences and false events targeting the country and its stability, he said.
