Marib police authorities revealed proof on Houthis recruiting women and children for Yemen assaults
On Sunday, Marib police authorities revealed proof that the Houthi militia, like ISIS, are seeking to employee women and children for bomb assaults and killings in the government-controlled northern Yemeni city.
Authorities accused, in a press conference that the leader of Houthis of founding a secret group concentrated on attracting Yemeni women for executing violent assaults.
Actually, this comes after a few days that the security officers arresting female Houthi recruits who were planning for aggressions in Marib.
Indeed, the Houthis exploited the detentions to recruit and send more combatants to Marib under the slogan of victory for the honor of the detained women.
During the period of conflict in Yemen, Houthis have followed cultural notions such as defending the honor of women to take the support from tribesmen against internationally recognized state institutions.
Moreover, Yemeni police stated that the Houthi employment of women and children to implement terrible movements indicates really similar methods used by other terror groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS.

Homeid stated that investigations with members of a number of Houthi terrorist cells revealed that a private service directly linked to the Houthi leader, which operates under the pretext of relief work, is responsible for luring and deluding Yemeni women from poor families into joining the group’s ranks.
He also said that recruited women are trained in staging terror assaults and collecting intelligence about Houthi targets, saying about the Houthi recruitment of women: These methods are Iranian and are carried under Iranian supervision.
He also noted that Houthi militias offend the morals and values of Yemenis by employing women in malicious and terrorist acts that no Yemeni or Arab deems acceptable.
Homeid also stated that the women, who come from poor families, were employed via blackmail, while the Houthis implicating them in honor-damaging actions to get them to do what the militia wants.
He appealed for the immediate stooping of the exploitation of women via methods that encroach on the country’s common values, indicating that Houthis are mainly targeting civilians and displaced Yemenis with their ballistic missiles and Iran-made drones.
Besides, the Director General of Marib Police promised that security forces would attack with an iron fist against any threat threatening the safety and stability of Marib.
Otherwise, Yemeni army media reported that Houthis have launched a violent and multi-faceted offensive against the oil-rich Marib governorate, but they unsuccessful to achieve any advancement.
National army forces, backed by pro-government popular resistance and air support from the Saudi-led Arab Government, thwarted many suicide assaults launched by the Iranian-backed militia on many fronts west of Marib.
