Middle East Quartet able to Push Peace Talks Forward
The Middle East Quartet has announced willingness to push the great Palestinian-Israeli social process forward once the ceasefire and truce talks see progress.
“The Envoys of the center East Quartet from the ecu Union, Russia, the us and therefore the United Nations met virtually to debate things on the bottom , including maintaining the cessation of hostilities,” UN Special Coordinator for the center East social process Tor Wennesland tweeted Saturday.
“They agreed to stay in close contact and discussed plans to convene face to face within the near future,” he added.
Meanwhile, Cairo is preparing to receive delegations from the Palestinian factions within the Gaza Strip , the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah and therefore the Israeli government to carry talks on maintaining an enduring ceasefire and reaching an agreement on a long-term truce.
Political sources in Tel Aviv said comprehensive peace negotiations between Israel and therefore the PA will “take an extended time.”
They pointed to the Israeli government’s inability to require decisions, noting that it’s necessary to strengthen the ceasefire to avoid any complications.
Defense Minister Benny Gantz said things is “unstable” and therefore the ceasefire is “fragile.”
However, he affirmed that several Israeli parties are convinced that the war will achieve nothing if it doesn’t end with political agreements.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi is predicted to go to Cairo on Sunday to offer an impetus to the Egyptian efforts to take care of the ceasefire and expand it to incorporate other major issues, including prisoners exchange and rebuilding the enclave, consistent with political sources.
Ashkenazi was invited by his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to debate ties between Egypt and Israel.
It will mark the primary official visit by an Israeli secretary of state to Cairo since 2008.
He will hold talks on the newest regional developments and developments in Palestine particularly , Ashkenazi was quoted as saying.
He further highlighted Cairo’s significant role in these negotiations, without which no progress is predicted to be made.
Head of Egypt’s General intelligence (GIS) Abbas Kamel also will visit Tel Aviv on Sunday as a part of Cairo’s ongoing efforts to take care of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, an Israeli report read on Saturday.
Kamel is predicted to satisfy with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Chief of Staff for National Security Meir Ben Shabbat and other Israeli security officials.
