”Misfits” Hollywood film exposes Qatar terrorism… Doha asked not be shown in Qatari cinema
Despite being a state that protects opinion and the other opinion, Qatar has shown by demanding that cinemas be shown in Qatari cinema that the famous US film MISFITS should not be shown, after several scenes appeared in the film accusing Doha of involvement in terrorist operations.
The True Face of Doha
The American film, starring Pierce Brosnan, revealed Qatar’s involvement in terrorism by portraying them as citizens of an island called “Stan.”
The film also pointed out that Qatar includes a number of fugitive terrorists, such as referring to Egyptian fugitive Youssef al-Qaradawi, describing him as the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood and a sponsor of global terrorism.
Qatar’s Attempts to Distort Business
The Qatari media sought to distort the drama of the film, and to promote it as an attempt to harm Qatar and its regime, through the publication of reports on the film by Qatari English-speaking sites, which are waging an offensive campaign against it and its makers.
Followers of the Qatari regime, including the Muslim Brotherhood journalist Mohammed Nasser, have also come to Qatar’s defense, accusing US representatives of colluding with the Quartet countries to stab and abuse Doha.
Not the first production
Although MISFITS is the first Hollywood drama production about Qatar’s support for terrorism, it is not the first American film to address the issue. Several documentary films, including Blood Money, have preceded the film.
In 2019, the US capital saw the special screening of the documentary “Blood Money,” which talks about how Qatar bought the media institution in Washington and documents Doha’s attempts to control influence in the US and penetrate decision-making positions.
The film addresses Doha’s embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization and attempts to answer the question “How has Qatar become the main financier of the terrorist organization?”,” and a senior U.S. security official is quoted as saying : “Qatar is a place where people become terrorists for money.”
The film is produced by Cerno Films, with US documentary film producer Mike Cernovich, author Michael Malice, co-director John De Twitt, and director Scooter Downey.
