‏‎The visit of the Jordanian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers to Baghdad underscored the depth of belonging and shared destiny among our Arab brothers, especially in light of the major challenges facing the region and the world as a whole.

Joint cooperation

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi emphasized the importance of cooperation between Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan, as well as regional coordination on the path of consolidating peace and stability in the region.

‏‎He noted Iraq’s pride in its relationship with Egypt and Jordan and the importance of developing it in various fields and all that supports the prospect of economic development, prosperity and joint food security.

‏‎Prime Minister said that building on the decisions of the summits that brought together the leaders of the three countries, the most recent of which was the summit hosted by Baghdad, will lead to a better future for the region.

Security and defense cooperation

The meeting ‏‎ discuss joint security and defense cooperation against terrorist organizations, and affirm the continued coordination and exchange of experiences and information in this context, in order to ensure a secure environment for economic prosperity, promote the results of sustainable development and serve the peoples of the three brotherly countries and the peoples of the region.

Cooperation and understanding

Dr. Tariq Fahmi, a professor of international relations, said relations between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan are extensive in many different fields. The tripartite alliance is linked to understanding and cooperation during a series of summits in the three capitals.

The professor of international relations added: The meetings between the three countries confirmed many concepts and mechanisms for implementing the signed memoranda of understanding, which the Iraqi government confirmed in hosting the summit.

Summit significance

Dr. Abdul Kareem al-Wazen, an Iraqi academic, said that the Foreign Ministers’ Summit of Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan is a continuation of previous talks. This visit to Baghdad at this time and the holding of the summit there is confirmation of several important messages, namely that Iraq has become secure and has many elements that help complete the building of a state.

The Iraqi academic added: There is broad and wide Arab support for the efforts of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and his major efforts to save Iraq. The summit also emphasized the importance of jointly facing the challenges that the three countries are facing within the current circumstances, and affirming the preservation of Iraq’s security and stability within the framework of what brings the three countries together.
