New Houthi drone massacre in western Yemen… Militias assassinate children’s lives

The Houthi terrorist militias continue to violate the current truce in Yemen in the worst ways, assassinating a number of people in the most heinous ways and committing new heinous massacres, obstructing peace attempts, with the support of their allies, threatening the collapse of the UN truce.

In the latest of these outrageous crimes, militias carried out a horrific massacre in western Yemen; One child was killed and seven children, including women, were wounded on Monday in a new militia air attack; The Houthis have bombed the residential town of al-Roun to the north of Hays District in southern Hodeidah province.

That crime resulted in the massacre of unarmed civilians in a new escalation against the fragile peace.

The joint forces said at least one child was killed and seven others were wounded in the direct bombardment carried out by Houthi-led air forces on the populated town.

All the victims were from the same family, and that the child “Ayman Abdo Ahmed Bakr” died before the arrival of the medical teams of the joint forces that rushed to rescue the victims, he pointed out that the injured, five women and a child, were taken to the field hospital in the city of Mocha on the Red Sea. They condemned the massacre which is considered a flagrant strike and an assassination of the United Nations truce.

He said that the Houthi bombing killed 7-year-old Ayman Abdo Ahmed Abkar and injured seven members of his family: visions of Ahmed Abdo Bakr, Ramadan Abdo Ahmed Abkar, Zahraa Ahmed Abkar, Hussam Ahmed Ali Abkar, Farah Mohammed Ahmed Abkar, Souad Ali Ahmed Abkar, and Da’at Abdullah Dawud Bakr.

He said a joint force medical team rushed to the targeted village and transferred the wounded to the field hospital in Mocha city.

The Yemeni government called on the United Nations and the international community to compel the Houthi militia and its supporters to implement the provisions of the U.N. truce that is in force without delay or explicitly condemning them. This came during a meeting of the Yemeni Council of Ministers in the interim capital of Aden, which stood in the face of continued violations of the truce by the Houthi militia on a number of fronts, and to abandon the implementation of its commitments, in reference to the Houthi militia’s rejection of a U.N. proposal to open roads in Taiz.

The government said the Houthis’ rejection of the UN proposal after weeks of negotiations is part of what it described as the militia’s time-buying policy and its continued mobilization of fronts to exploit the truce, the official Yemeni news agency reported. The government said such behavior is unacceptable and will be confronted in every way.

The Houthi massacre of civilians in Hays District is one in a series of violations of the UN-brokered humanitarian truce, which has been extended by two more months on June 2, according to the Yemeni government, and is being used by the Houthi militia to mobilize forces and target populated neighborhoods and villages.

Over the past two days, Houthi militias have committed 72 violations of the UN truce on the western coast, including 48 in the Hays axis south of Hodeida and 24 in the Bahr axis west of Taiz.
