Nîmes: A car is embedded in a plane tree, seven victims, including three in absolute emergency
For some unknown reason, a car left the road on its own, before finishing its race in full force against a plane tree along the departmental axis.
A serious road accident occurred this Monday in Argilliers, a commune in Gard located about thirty kilometers from Nîmes. A large passenger car with seven people on board was fitted into a plane tree.
When the aid arrived, the toll was dramatic: the seven occupants of this passenger vehicle were found injured, some seriously. Intervened from Uzès, Fournès, Marguerittes, Beaucaire, Nîmes, St-Geniès-de-Malgoirès, Les Angles, and Bagnols-sur-Cèze, they very quickly requested the reinforcement of two helicopters of the Samu and of Civil Security. They were able to transport a 44-year-old man incarcerated in the vehicle and a 50-year-old woman, in absolute emergency, to the hospital in Montpellier.
Also trapped inside, a 58-year-old man was taken in absolute emergency and taken to Nîmes, with a 62-year-old man in relative emergency. The last three less seriously affected victims, two 17- and 42-year-old women and a 62-year-old man were escorted to the Bagnols hospital.
Traffic was completely cut off on the axis during the rescue operation
