Palestinian factions support Houthi terrorism
The UAE leadership has provided hundreds of millions of dollars to save the Palestinians from a tragic situation imposed on them for many years, including financial support for what Abu Dhabi provided to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. It has sent medical supplies planes that flew from Abu Dhabi to the occupied Palestinian territories, including an aircraft that included 14.4 tons of medical supplies and testing devices to Gaza in cooperation with the Solidarity Committee in the Gaza Strip. More than 14,000 health care workers benefit from the assistance to strengthen their efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The third plane that has been stationed in the Palestinian territories is the third from the United Arab Emirates since the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
In the same context, the Palestinian people have enjoyed a large share of support throughout history, confirming the long-standing ties between the peoples of the Kingdom and Palestine. The total amount of humanitarian, developmental and community assistance provided between 2000 and 2018, in addition to that provided by the National Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People, totaled more than $6,051,227,000.
Relief and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers varied, from development assistance of $4 billion to humanitarian assistance of $2 billion, to the housing project in Rafah (Phase I), where an integrated residential city was built with 752 housing units for 4,564 people, and four schools, a health center, a cultural center, a commercial complex, a mosque, road construction, street lighting and water facilities were built at a cost of $107 million.
Despite all this, the Palestinian factions insist on supporting the Houthis, and described the Houthi militias as militants at the last factional conference headed by Abu Mazen. The Palestinian factions also exploited the lies promoted by the Houthi against the Arab coalition to announce support for the militias under the pretext of supporting the Yemeni people against what they called aggression, in conjunction with the Houthi use of the Palestinian cause in order to collect funds and donations and claim that they are for supporting Palestine.
Ismail Haniyeh described Qassem Soleimani as the martyr of Jerusalem during the funeral of Soleimani after he was killed in a US raid. The factions also adopted the Haniyeh approach and described the leader of the Houthi militias, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, as a great leader inside Yemen.
The factions not only announced their support for Houthi through official positions, but also organized demonstrations and marches in Gaza in support of Houthi terrorism against the Gulf countries and attacked at that time the storm of firmness and the Arab alliance. Hamas also sent a special representative to Sanaa with the aim of coordinating and increasing cooperation with Houthi. The representative of Hamas held several meetings with the Iranian ambassador in Sanaa, Hassan Erlo, before his death, to agree on the implementation of Iran’s agendas in Yemen.
