Prince William: Kate is doing well as she undergoes cancer treatment
Prince William, the heir to the British throne, said today, according to Reuters, that his wife Kate is “doing well”, in a rare public comment on the health of the Duchess of Wales as she undergoes preventive chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
Kate announced in March that she was undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer following stomach surgery she underwent earlier in the year.
At that time, she said she was doing well, but the couple’s office stated that they would not provide regular updates on her health status and that she would not resume her public duties until her doctors allowed her to do so.
However, William (41 years old) said, “She’s doing well, thank you,” when asked about his wife’s health during a visit to a local hospital on the Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall in southwest England.
