Sudan War… Al-Burhan Enters the ‘Beheading’ Phase
Members of the Sudanese army have circulated a horrifying video showing them carrying severed heads, claiming they belong to armed individuals from the ‘Rapid Support Forces‘, while internal sources accused the ‘Muslim Brotherhood Militia’ fighting alongside the army, and its allies from extremist groups affiliated with ‘Al-Qaeda’ and ‘ISIS’, of being behind these heinous incidents.
This incident increases concerns internally, regionally, and internationally, that chaos and security instability may encourage terrorist groups to expand their activities into Sudan.
The widely circulated video, since last Thursday night on social media platforms, showed army personnel wielding white weapons and confessing to the slaughter, threatening that this would be their approach towards the ‘Rapid Support Forces‘. The shocking scenes brought to mind the tactics of ISIS, documenting the beheading of dozens of hostages, victims, and slaughtered soldiers, and disseminating them in its media during its presence in Raqqa, Syria.
The Sudanese army, for its part, stated that it has begun an investigation into the matter and will hold those involved accountable if the investigation proves they belong to its forces, while the ‘Rapid Support Forces‘ described the slaughter of the three individuals as “an extremist criminal behavior from the al-Burhan militia and the remnants of the (Omar al-Bashir) regime.”
The ‘Rapid Support Forces‘ stated: “We have seen video clips broadcasted by the al-Burhan militia and the terrorist remnants of the former regime, showing the slaughter of 3 individuals on ethnic and regional grounds, and the staging of their bodies in a scene resembling the criminal behavior of these extremist groups, contrary to ethics, religion, and laws.”
